Hmmm... (15/05/2005 05:30)
geturfunkyself2getha

Someone just told me today that A time to love is supposed to be released Tuesday. But I don't know. I say if so it will be a nice surprise for all of us. Or maybe it is and everyone already knows except me. LOL... Back to James Brown I really love his music. It has emotion but a completely different emotional character than Otis Redding even though both have very gruff voices (that is an adjective not an insult hee hee). I love them both. ok favorites songs of both of them for me Otis it would be.... welll... *giggles* can't say because it depends on my mood. OK so I shot my own question... lol... But they are such good artists... They do both sing the song Papas Got A Brand New Bag. I just don't know who sung it first hmmm...

I loved this comment from you:
i literally listen to music 24/7 too hey it is my life....lol........i dont think stevie has any bad songs either i love 'em all!! same as michael YAY!!!!! *made me smile & I agree*
and this one made me laugh out loud for real....WAIT STOP RIGHT THERE WANG CHUNG!!!! marvin gaye and aretha franklin and otis redding and the temptations and the four tops too dont have a bad song that ive heard ... *LOL I hear car brakes every time I see that and I have to laugh.... UR funny! But you are right especially I agree with this......but stevie and michael are better because their music is great and marvin gayes too.....lol......... I agree but I think Michael and Stevie are still alone in their catagory but that's just me. They can rock the house when they perform like NObody else can. And that energy extends to their timeless music. Now please don't misunderstand me. I am not taking anything away from the others. It's just that MJ & SW have a certain kind of energy that transforms with each song, that is way beyond everyone elses. And their slow songs and love songs are completely different than their dance songs with the type of energy and the feeling that you get as a listener or an audience member. OMG Stevie rocks that bench OMG he's all over the place when he performs. His body totally becomes the music that he is performing and you can see it in every detail of his movements and even in his facial expressions and the tone of his voice for every note. He's dancing like crazy on that bench! And Michael.... let's just say you if you could convert the energy he has in his body into electricity, you could power the whole arena. Let alone his perfection and precision and they way they both include the audience as far as participation. That invites the audience to feel a part of what they are doing and not just feel like an onlooker that really enjoyed the show. They are the most awesome performers I think more than anyone although I am not saying that others don't put on great shows. I am just saying these 2 are really unique. But it's not a put down to other amazing entertainers. Just not as amazing as these 2.

did you know michael jackson, being the insideous man that he is, got around tight security and started his own day care camp called "touch"? Its disgusting actually, not funny (it is funny).

MJ is a kids lover, DISGUSTING IDIOT

James Brown is awesome! I have a boxed set of his. I just love it. Eddie Murphy does an excellent job of pretending to be Stevie. Hee hee. I saw that show too. And Chris Tucker does a great job of imitaing Michael. *I am imagining those two doing Michael and Stevies impersonations by singing together. lol... It's 1 am here and I am enjoying responding to you. If I have made typos, please excuse them, my eyes are getting heavy and I am going to come back tomorrow and finish my words to you. If I keep typing likely I will be typing stuff that doesnt make sense like when people try to talk on the phone when they are tired. lol...Nitey nite. I look forward to coming back to finish tomorrow. Your posts were Very interesting!!! I love it... will talk tomorrw... hmmmm.....
hmmmm.... (14/05/2005 08:49)
geturfunkyself2getha, I loved the goo goo dolls song. I keep playing it. Tell me this, do you think that the guitars on that song sound a bit like a cross between the Eagles & Supertramp? If not who does it remind you of? I really love the lyrics. They are very warm & loving. I like stuff like that. About Michael & Stevie helping others, they inspire others to do the same by example. That is the best way to teach others... making the world a better place. Have you heard What The Fuss yet? If not go to musicmatch.com . I think they have a free membership option. You can hear it there and it's legal. OMG Otis Redding! Yes! I Love him too. I have a cd called The Otis Redding Story... Oh my goodness, it is awesome. I play it all the time. Try a little tenderness is a wonderful song. I am listening to it now. I love almost everything he made. Tenderness is a gift from God. To give it or to recieve it. It's sooo magical... magical.... magical.... *well... it is.* lol I wonder who sung Day Tripper first, him or the Beatles. Hmmm... For some reason I just thought of another singer called Donny Hathaway... I don't know what made me think of him... Oh well, lol...
hmmm... (14/05/2005 08:12)

. They have brought so much joy, and helped so many through their words, music, and humanitarian deeds. They have give so much that I KNOW that God put them where they are for a special purpose. It couldn't have been an accident or just fate. God has given them a special duty on this earth. It's a lot for one human to take on. But they do it with love. What seems like ease to us is undoubtedly backed by a lot of hard work and sleepless nights of working so hard. And what big hearts they have proven to have. God Bless Them Both. I mean that. They need extra love and support because they are still human. It's a loving load that they carry........ i really love this bit u wrote i coudnt have put it in better words myself......i agree with u something will happen beacause everything happens for a reason so all thi is happening 4 a reason its fate i just cant wait to see wat it is.........go 4 it goo goo dolls r good.........ur soooo lucky a time to love still isnt out yet over hear my mum and i are gettin imapatient especially me......i was just watching the movie pretty in pink again and my fave part is wen duckie comes in the cd store and starts dancing and miming to otis reddin try a little tenderness i love that song so know im listening to otis......chat 2 ya soon

hahah wow! there is a character limit. The rest of my post was cut off. hehe. that's good to know. I am going to listen to the goo goo dolls ow and then go nitey nite. I will checkin for you in a few days. Please exuse my typos. I realllly reallllly don't like to type. But it doesn't bother me to do it on a computer. However, I still careless, but not on purpose. Anyway... I will check in in a few days and see what you are listening to.. I have been playing "what the fuss" I like it! Take care... talk to you soon... hmmmmm.....
hmmmm.... (09/05/2005 06:59)
geturfunkself2getha! YaY! Nice to hear from you too *smile* About downloading, I just got a new computer and found a site called musicmatch. I have been downloading from there. I don't have DSL yet so I have to let it download with a lot of skipping and then it plays great! Do you know of any other good sites to download legally? I really like it. Fun. I am listening to music literally 24/7. Yup, I play it when I am sleeping. It lullabys me to sleep and turns off lol. I love the song AS to. That's your Moms fav song awww.. that's sweet. I don't think Stevie has any bad songs. I love them all just like Michael. How many artist can say they have no bad songs... Ummm .... 2, Michael and Stevie. Truly. You're so right about the rappers. I don't think it's very nice when they sing misogynistic lyrics. There is enough pain in the world. *feels pain in my heart*. It's so very ugly. I do like Nas Tupac and Kanye because of the deep lyrical content that you mentioned. You know lots of times I have heard people talk about who started rap. There is a song that is from the 60's called "Here Comes The Judge" by Pigmeat Markham. He was born in 1904 and started his career in 1917 as a comedian I believe. Anyway, his song was a comedic rap song. I don't know if you can find it on the net. You may not like it but it's interesting to hear rap from back then. Most people don't even know about it. I don't know who did rap first him or James Brown. lol... I prolly lost you with all of that old old trivia. But it's fun to know *smile* ok the goo goo dolls... I am going to musicmatch to see if I can find those and listen to them after I type this. That's fun sharing music with you. You're nice. I can't even imagine what the world would be like if it were not for Michael and Stevies music. It's a loving load that they carry. I believe that God is going to use Michaels current circumstances for something big. I think this is really going to be something that is going to change something in this world for the better. I think God will show us what it is. It is certainly not what the media makes of it. You mark my words. The tables will turn. My heart goes out to Michael for having to suffer so. And I am so proud of Stevie for standing up for Michael. What a man Stevie is. A brave and honest man. God is using them both for big things. Just wait and see..... sorry I got lost in...

geturfunkyself2getha!
hehe... I loved your message. Thank you for taking an interest in me. That is very kind of you. I tend not to say my age or race, etc. Thank you for saying you don't mind that I don't because I do enjoy talking to you and wouldn't want you to be offended. I will just say,,, so you know... that I am older than you & I am from the USA ;o) . I loved it when you quoted Stevies song saying God knew exactly where he wanted you to be placed. That was cute! You know, about other peoples opionions.. I understand exactly what you mean about not liking it when people say ugly things about Stevie or Michael or other great artists music. I have a personal policy not to say mean or unkind things about anyones music or creative efforts. I try to see the beauty in everyones work because people put their hearts and souls into their creative works. At least those who care about what they create tend to do so. And to me, no matter how much it may not be to my suiting, I would feel as though someone laid their heart out to share with me and it would be like stepping on it with your shoe to say something bad. But that's just me. I know criticism has it's place of importance but I think it should be done tastefully and in the proper environment. I am not the critic type hehe.... The song If You Really Love Me is a wonderful song... (no pun inteded lol) Try to find the song Born Again that she sings with Billy Preston. Syreeta was and is an Angel of a woman and you can hear it in her sweet voice. I just love her so much. I loved all you said about those Stevie songs. I am going to copy what you said and play all of those songs tonght :o). That will be fun. Yes, Michaels case is going so well. It's awful that he has to undergo this but I believe that God is going to keep him strong and take care of him. As a fan I see clearly that he is a wonderful loving and kind person who extends himself to help others. We need more people like him and Stevie on this earth. But they do inspire others so that's really good. I hope that Michael always makes music. He brings so much joy to others through his talents. He has so many talents that he shares with the world and they are all so very beautiful. The same for Stevie as well. They are really unique artists and deserve the highest respect. I think we will always have music from both of them. There is no reason not to. For them to stop would rob the world of joy. *giggles* your post cut off. hehe maybe there is a character limit. I'd better submit this just in case.... lol...

Hi my friend! I really like the new place a lot. I am glad you are ok :o). I was looking to see if you were here. It's a bit late and I am falling asleep. I will be back tomorrow to read you posts from way back. Lots of new posts here to catch up on. I'm so sleepy now if I tried to read them it would read like a foreign language and I would answer in a different language than that. lol.. see I'm tired LOL! Glad to see you will be back tomorrow. :o)

getyrfunkyself2getha (23/04/2005 08:30)
HEY OSIRIS ( u no ur names is that of an egyptian god?)

i think that 2pac would definitely sed something 2 eminem if was still alive and as i sed b4 2pac had a lotta stuff 2 say and not the shorta shit em does like u sed raping his mother or stabbing the mother of his child
Osiris (22/04/2005 07:32)
Stevie is right about Eminem. I mean he's like thirty, and still blaming his mother. Eminem is not the only one doing it. Dave Chappell is doing it to R. Kelly; but when it all boils down to it, its all about money not morals. Stevie's compassion, is Chirst Like, for those who have erred in life. Eminem and Dave should listen to Stevie's Higher Ground. Sad to say but stones are being thrown from bloody hands, everyday. I dont think that 2Pac would even speak to Eminem if he was alive. 2Pac's music said something just like Stevie's. Far from rapping his mother or stabbing the mother of his child.
hmmmm... (20/04/2005 07:49)
